Summer Ideas Around Livermore

Something that usually always happens with kids every summer is that they run out of ideas.

So, the question is, if you are in town and have nothing to do, what is there to do?

As you may or may not know, Livermore is filled with parks, including Del Valle Regional Park, Sycamore Grove, Brushy Peak, and the backroads of Wente Winery.

On the outskirts of town in hills, you can also find Del Valle Reservoir and Shadow Cliffs Reservoir.

Other things to do include: the Livermore Community Center Water Park (also has beach volleyball and tennis), biking the Sycamore/Wente paths, Wente Golf and Concerts, Las Positas Golf, Poppy Ridge Golf Course, and the Livermore Skatepark.

Inside Ideas

Sometimes it can get very, very hot in the summer, and the best idea might be to just stay inside.

Some cool places indoors to spend time with friends (or alone if you’re into that) include: Umigo GoKart Racing, Escape Games (Escape Rooms), Livermore Cinemas (Movie Theatre), The Vine (Classic Movie Theatre), and Granada Bowl.

There’s no shortage of places to grab good food in town, and a variety of types.

Being teenagers, sitting down with friends always happens to catch side-eye from the restaurant-goers.

Some places that are a hole in the wall include:

John’s Char Burger

Yin Yin (Chinese)

Roppongi (Sushi)

Lemongrass Thai Restaurant

El Charro Mexican Food and Cantina

Bruno’s Italian Cuisine
