If there is one sport that combines adrenaline and the roaring of the engine, it is Monster Jam. This sport dates back to the year 1992.The sporting event consists of two parts: a regular race, and a freestyle event. A freestyle event includes drivers performing stunts, including backflips and wheelies. This sport is an underappreciated one and should be explored. Here are a few reasons why you should pay attention to the sport.

The atmosphere during these events is quite legendary. With music that sounds throughout your ears, and the amazing announcers who keep the emotions alive. Of course, if we are going to talk about atmosphere, we have to talk about something Monster Jam is known for: the stunts performed by the vehicles.

These stunts, for a lack of better words, are stunning. Some of my favorite stunts include the double backflip, front flips, and nose wheelies (balancing a truck on two wheels). According to monsterjam.com, each monster truck weighs 12,000 pounds. Imagine having to flip that, twice.

Monster Jam does not lack female drivers. In the power ranking, there are currently 14 female drivers on the list. Some of the female drivers that are on the power list are Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger), Linsey Read (Scooby-Doo), Becky McDonough (El Toro Loco), Brianna Mahon (Whiplash). This activity includes participation by both genders and is much more inclusive to female drivers, unlike motocross.

Monster Jam is a sport for anyone. Whether they like adrenaline, are fans of stunts, or want to see a sport that is on an even playing field, monster jam is the sport for you.
